Audrey L. Turpin Koshinski, 88, of Decatur, IL passed away, Thursday, June 9, 2011 at 2:23 PM at Decatur Memorial Hospital.
A service to celebrate Audrey’s life will be at 11:00 AM, Monday, June 13, 2011 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Decatur. Visitation will be Sunday evening, June 12, 2011 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Dawson & Wikoff West Wood Street Funeral Home and one hour before the service at the church. Burial will be in North Fork Cemetery, Decatur. Memorials may be made to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Humanitarian Fund. Audrey was born in Clinton, IL, March 10, 1923, the daughter of Archie J. and Susie R. (Tharp) Turpin. She attended Brown’s Business College and worked as a stenographer at A.E. Staley Company for thirty-six years. She enjoyed bowling and golfing. Audrey was a member of the Relief Society of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She loved her family very much and enjoyed spending time with them. She married Henry Koshinski November 16, 1947. He preceded her in death December 3, 1998.
Audrey is survived by her sister, Ileta F. Malone and her husband William Nelson of Decatur and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother; Charles Cecil Turpin and her sister-in-law; Gail Page Turpin.

I am thankful for all the time we spent with Audrey whenweI lived in Illinois and Iowa when I was a child. She truly was like a grandmother to us and we were blessed to know her and learn from her. I will treasure those sweet memories of an amazing woman!

Would like to express my condolences to the family. I have known Audrey for many, many years. We used to work together in the Steno Pool at Staley's. Haven't seen her for a long time but she was always a kind, friendly lady.
